Meet the team

Andrew Leedom

Associate Director

Andrew is based in inspiratia’s Washington DC office. Prior to joining inspiratia, he worked as an intellectual property attorney in Washington, DC, and then as counsel for a holding firm operating primarily in Sub-Saharan Africa. He received his BA from the University of Virginia and his JD from the University of Miami Law School and his MA from the Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies.

Magda Kowalewska

Operations Director

Magda is managing inspiratia’s operations, overseeing its administration, finance, HR, and events programme. Before joining in 2015, she had previous experiences in the Healthcare and Education sectors. She received her MA from the University of Szczecin, BA from the University of Bari and graduated in Management with HRM from the University of London.

Maritina Kanellakopoulou


Maritina comes from the energy and sustainability sphere, having worked for a series of publications, research institutes and government bodies. At inspiratia, she writes in-depth analysis on renewable energy and infrastructure investment also delivering bespoke research projects for a wide range of international clients. Maritina currently has a strong focus on subsidy-free and storage developments, and she is the editor of inspiratia’s Energy Storage theme. She holds an MSc in Environmental Sustainability from the University of Edinburgh, and a BA in International Relations.

Ott Tammik

Events Editor

Based in Washington, DC, Ott heads up content for inspiratia's events. Having first joined the company in London in 2014, Ott has covered the global infrastructure finance market extensively, and currently also looks after inspiratia's Americas and infratech content, as well as hosting webinars and chairing industry panel discussions.

Jonathan McNair


Jonathan is responsible for inspiratia’s news and analysis coverage of the global renewables and infrastructure sectors. After joining the company in September 2015, he initially worked on the editorial team as a renewables reporter. Prior to inspiratia, he spent a year completing an MA in Journalism at City University London. This was undertaken after a number of years working as a specialist energy analyst in the Lloyd’s of London insurance market.

Omolola Coker


Omolola is an Analyst at inspiratia, covering global infrastructure and energy sectors and manages inspiratia’s Africa theme page. She produces weekly in-depth analysis on key markets and trends, and undertakes research tasks for inspiratia’s bespoke assignments. Omolola holds an MSc in Development Studies from the School of African and Oriental Studies (SOAS), University of London. Prior to joining inspiratia in 2018, she was project manager at REA Consult, an infrastructure and renewable energy consultancy.

Rose Carr


Rose is a reporter covering project finance in the renewable energy and infrastructure sectors. Prior to joining inspiratia she edited BRIC+, a business magazine focused emerging markets and freelanced for several publications, including the Financial Times, covering business, energy and technology. She has a MA in Journalism from City University London and History degree from Warwick University.

Nickolas Imregi


Nick is a seasoned entrepreneur and co-founded inspiratia with Marco Dell’Aquila in 2010 to fill the gap in the market for an infrastructure and energy service producing breadth and depth of content underpinned by data-driven analysis. He is responsible for driving inspiratia's commercial strategy. Nick’s early career was in publishing, working across the financial services, infrastructure and energy sectors before he co-founded Infrastructure Journal in 1997.

Marco Dell'Aquila


Marco is the Chairman of inspiratia, a company he co-founded and which provides thought-leadership, data and analytics to the infrastructure and energy sectors globally. He is also a Senior Adjunct Professor of energy at the Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies in Bologna, where he also serves on its European Advisory Council. He has spent 30 years developing, financing and investing in renewable and clean energy technologies around the world.

Anna Starostina

Graphic Designer

Anna is the in-house graphic designer at inspiratia. Responsible for a major re-branding of the company, she is the main designer for all the digital and print work. Prior to joining inspiratia in 2015, Anna has worked in various marketing agencies and fashion labels. Anna hold a postgraduate degree in Visual Communication from LCC University of Arts.
