Via joins EVS Whistler speaker line-up

Via, the New York-based rideshare service, is the latest company to join the speaker line-up at inspiratia’s Electric Vehicle & Sustainability Summit in Whistler, Canada, on November 19-22.

First launched by two Israeli entrepreneurs in 2013, Via has completed 50 million rides for commuters and has partnerships with major transportation authorities such as LA Metro, Berliner Verkehrsbetriebe (BVG), and the Land Transport Authority (LTA) in Singapore.

The company launched its London and Amsterdam-based ViaVan service – a joint venture with Mercedes-Benz Vans – in 2018.

Via is also pushing initiatives for fleet electrification and autonomous driving, having launched its BusBot trial, an autonomous shuttle service at a retirement community in New South Wales, in July.
